Twelve Years of Ingenuity, Hiding the Warmth of Life in Every Sofa
- In 2011, when the first ray of morning light fell on the small factory on the outskirts of the city, the story of XX Sofa Company began with a simple idea: "to make a sofa that is comfortable to sit on". At that time, the team had only 5 people, no gorgeous production lines, only persistence in "sitting comfort" — the designer sat on sponges of different materials and tested repeatedly every day, the master worker polished the details with fabric stitch by stitch, and the founder ran around every major furniture mall in the city with samples, listening to consumers say, "My waist doesn’t ache even after sitting on this sofa for a long time" and "It would be better if the fabric is softer".
- Over the past twelve years, we have always regarded "R&D" and "production" as the two pillars of the brand. The lights in the R&D department are often on late into the night. To find the sponge ratio that "supports the waist and back with just the right hardness and softness", the team has tested 37 kinds of materials with different densities; to allow families with pets to use durable sofas, we have repeatedly improved the wear resistance of the fabric, and finally developed the "scratch-resistant and wear-resistant fabric"; even for the sofa frame, we insist on using solid wood that is not easy to deform, which has undergone moisture-proof and insect-proof treatment to ensure it remains stable even after ten years.
- There is no such word as "make do" in our culture. In the production workshop, every piece of fabric must go through two checks: "color fastness test" and "breathability inspection", and every stitch is required to be "even without skipped stitches". Even if a slight defect is found, it will be remade. Because we know that a sofa is not a cold piece of furniture, but a warm corner for every family to "curl up and watch dramas", "play with children" and "chat with friends".
- From the small factory in 2011 to serving millions of families across the globe today, what we have not changed is our original intention of "making every sofa adapt to life". In the future, we will still carry this ingenuity, continue to develop sofas that better understand users, and bring more comfort and happiness derived from sitting to the lives of more families.
